A future that is dark for men
Adam's Curse -
"Genetically speaking, the big difference between men and women is that
where women have two X chromosomes, men have one X and one Y chromosome.
It is surprising that one chromosome difference out of our total of 46
can have such an important consequence. Is this relatively small genetic
variance really sufficient to explain the differences between the sexes,
not just the physical but the psychological, social or even cultural?
Prof Sykes takes us on a fascinating exploration into the science of sex
and gender, and takes a scientific look at what makes men tick. His
research has shown that the all-important male Y chromosome is getting
smaller. As the generations pass the female X chromosome is taking over.
Women are winning the evolutionary battle of the sexes. The shocking
conclusion is that men, slowly but surely, are headed for extinction."

Can we survive the onslaught?

man are faced with extnction, but if we want to overcome this, there must be an increase in tax for women who bear baby girl and those who bear boys there must have a reduced tax with incentive so that most women will be couraged to have son.

yes, there is an extinction of men due to smaller y chromosome and there is a need of scientist to create "if possible" an artificial or to increase y chromosomes for men.

hi Lethabo
i suggest that next time you must just edit your comment than doing mistake time and again.

hi Puli
i like your suggestion, i also believe that the only solution will be that of artificial Y chromosomes.

Hii every one
It is true that men are faced with extinctoin.Only God can prevent the men axtinction. The bible on Luke 1:37 says that "nothing impossible with God".This means that we have to pray and ask Him to prevent men to go to extinction.

The discussion of the "Y-Chromosome" is a lot more intricate than the article suggests. The research done on the DNA of people, as previous posts suggest, points towards one of two conflicting theories or hypotheses about the beginning of the second exodus of Homo sapiens out of Africa after the population bottleneck after a theoretical volcanic winter (originating in the Far-East). The first is that of the "African Eve" and "Eve's" seven daughters, a more widely accepted theory, which is supported by the findings of David Reed in his research on the co-evolution of lice (watch this space...)and humans. The second hypothesis is the multiregional hypothesis, suggesting that contemporary populations of hominid species may have interbred and hybridised.
The interesting fact is therefore not that there is a posibility that the male chromosome is losing the evolutionary batle, but rather how natural selection over time through a population botleneck produces accelerated combinations of genetic material, not seen in a more variant population, as humans were many thousands of years before the bottleneck occured.

Clearly women are the fairer and "superior" sex, but what are women without men?

Dear DAVIDVAUGHN
bru even if you need to beg, borrow or steal one, get a sense of humour!!!! This topic was meant to spark soe interest and tickle your funnybone, not make you get your knickers in a knot about the details.
